# Vitasphere — Post-Cardiac Recovery

## Problem

Post-cardiac patients face a high-risk 30-day recovery window after hospital discharge. Without adequate monitoring, complications go undetected, leading to high readmission rates. Clinicians lack visibility into patient status between visits, creating gaps in care continuity.

## Solution

Vitasphere is a comprehensive post-cardiac recovery platform with three integrated components:

* **Patient mobile app**: Daily check-ins, symptom tracking, medication reminders, educational content
* **Cloud server**: Secure data aggregation, alert processing, FHIR-based EHR integration
* **Clinician dashboard**: At-a-glance patient status, alert management, population health overview

## Design Highlights

* **Patient experience**: Simple daily check-ins designed for an older, post-procedure population. Large text, minimal data entry, reassuring tone.
* **Clinician workflow**: Dashboard organized by patient urgency. Clinicians can see status changes at a glance and drill into detail as needed.
* **Industrial design**: The companion monitoring device was designed for comfort during extended wear, with easy one-handed operation.
* **Safety-critical alerts**: Tiered alert system that respects clinician workflows while ensuring critical changes are never missed.
